The Story of Jakob

My life was forever changed in 1999 when my grandson, Jakob, was born.  I was there for his birth, and when I held him in my arms, I could feel my love flowing from me to him; I felt complete.  Moments after his birth I described my love for him as the most pure & intense love imaginable.  I was completely in love with him. 

I’ve been making cards for a long time, mostly for gifts and my own use.  I love the creative aspect of it and the use of color, pattern, and texture when designing cards.  I am now passionate about making cards because I’ve established a scholarship in Jakob’s name to give someoneback to the people who helped Jakob navigate high school.  I’m doing this to honor Jakob’s life.  In 2018 my beloved grandson was in a fatal car accident at the age of 18.  In my grief I am doing this because I feel close to Jakob when making cards; it’s therapeutic, keeps me busy, gives me a mission, and helps the people who helped Jakob realize the biggest achievement in his life.

All funds from sales are put into the scholarship.  I’m donating my time and all the materials toward this cause.
